DISPOSABLE OR DISCRETIONARY INCOME IS COMMONLY KNOWN AS OUR 'PLAY MONEY'
This is the money that's available after we pay for the essentials in life such as food, water, clothing and shelter. We have reached a standard of living where what we think are essentials are totally inessential. So many people in Australia and the world are struggling to afford the most basic essentials.
If we gave some of our 'play money' to others less fortunate than ourselves - instead of ourselves, then the words compassion, love, care and kindness would actually mean something, and the world would become a better place.
