WHEN THE EARTH STOPS SPINNING

I feel like I am on a conveyor belt in the production line of life. Behind me in the distance I can see babies being born out of the eternal beauty and mystery of the unknown. And in front of me in the distance, I can see my Father disappearing out of view, as if dropping off the edge of a flat earth, into the eternal beauty and mystery of the unknown.

I can see myself moving slowly, inevitably in that direction, without any control over where I am going, but knowing I am moving in the direction of where I lost sight of my Father ~ the sunrise and sunset of life.

Sunrise is as inevitable as sunset, yet it’s a complete illusion. The sun doesn’t go any where, it doesn’t move, the Earth rotates.

Movement creates illusion, stopping, stillness and silence reveal the truth.

When I stop, everything stops, and I find myself in the beauty and mystery of this eternal unknown, in the most simple and ordinary way.

Iam like the world rotating; it’s my ongoing movement that gives the illusion of time; the sun rising and setting, day and night, good and bad, right and wrong, all the fear and separation. In stopping, the beauty and mystery of the eternal unknown reveals itself endlessly each moment, in my simple day to day living.

Everything is just happening, every small movement; putting knives and forks into the drawer after drying them, is like a sunrise and sunset, it’s the ever-present underlying beauty and mystery that becomes endlessly apparent in every movement, in every moment, in the most ordinary way.

I invite you to listen to the song Every thing we see is just a dream ~ from the album Surrender
